I can drink it fine, but for my friends who cant. what do you suggest drinking and mixing? simple and cheap recipes would be great, seeing as i am in college. What are the best recipes to hide the taste of liquor?
Rum drinks such as strawberry daiquiri, pina colada, etc. don't taste like booze at all. I would suggest not too much of the sugary drinks as you are more likely to blow groceries. What are the best recipes to hide the taste of liquor?
Depends on what liquor you are drinking. For vodka I would use fruit juice such as orange, cranberry, pineapple or any mix of the 3 (all are cheap).
For gin you can make gin and tonics (tonic water is extremely cheap, lime juice also if you want) or a Tom Collins (gin + Tom Collins mix, roughly same price as tonic water).
For rum the best choice is usually a dark soda, either Coke or Dr. Pepper (especially Dr. Pepper for Captain Morgan's, tastes like cream soda).
I personally don't think there is much that mixes well with tequila but you could pick up some cheap margarita mix and some ice if that is your liquor of choice.
Bottoms up!
rum and coke
vodka and mountain dew
Malibu Rum and pineapple (one of my wife's favorites)
Jack (or other whiskey or bourbon) and coke
Tequila Sunrise
Screwdriver
dr. pepper does the best at masking liquor. what you can do is poor a shot and delute the crap out'a it with club soda, then add juice. also, lots of ice helps cuz it will eventually melt and water the liquor down.
Vodka traditionally has the mildest flavor of all the spirits. Mix it with a strong juice such as cranberry or orange.
I always do Banker's Club Rum and Coke. Cheap and easy.
